When it premiered on the RKO Radio Network in January 1982, Solid Gold Saturday Night was an immediate sensation – America’s first national, live, oldies request program.  Over the following years Dick originated, hosted and produced a number of successful programs – countdowns, request shows, daily features and live events – all of them based on the legendary rock, pop & soul music of the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s.




Rock & Roll's Greatest Hits (2020 - 2022)
Dick returned to the 60's with a three-hour weekly celebration of the British Invasion, Motown, the Beach Boys, the Raiders, Creedence Clearwater, and the best of Top 40 rock, pop and soul.

Dick Bartley's Classic Hits (2017-2022)
A weekly classic hits countdown program that featured the best of 70's & 80's rock, pop and soul - from the Eagles to Phil Collins, Fleetwood Mac to Tina Turner, Billy Joel to John Cougar Mellencamp.

CBS-FM Classic Countdown (2009-2014)
This was a fully customized, New York City version of the Classic Countdown show produced exclusively for WCBS-FM and broadcast every Sunday night on New York's legendary CBS-FM 101.1.

The Classic Countdown (2009-2017)
The classic hits countdown show moved from ABC to the United Stations Radio Network in April 2009... a four-hour weekly countdown of the legendary rock, pop & soul hits of the 70's & 80's.

Yesterday...Live (1994-2004)
America's first all-70's music request radio show... Yesterday Live featured a great new jingle package by JAM Creative Productions and was broadcast live on Sunday afternoons by the ABC Radio Network.

Rock & Roll's Greatest Hits (1991-2017)
Dick's request oldies show moved from Westwood One to ABC Radio Network where it enjoyed an 18-year run... the show was again picked up by the United Stations Radio Network in 2009

American Gold (1991-2009)
This classic hits coundown show was launched by the ABC Radio Network in January 1991... a four-hour, weekly celebration of the greatest hits from the mid-1960's through the mid-1980's.

New Gold On CD (1989-1991)
A Monday-Friday short-form radio feature distributed by Westwood One... New Gold On CD featured daily, five-minute stories behind the popular hits of the 60's & 70's... distributed on then-brand-new CD's.

The Rock & Roll Oldies Show (1988-1991)
Radio's top-rated request oldies show moved from USNR to the Westwood One Radio Network in January 1988... as with SGSN, the Rock & Roll Oldies Show was broadcast live from New York.

Solid Gold Scrapbook (1983-1988)
Also distributed by USRN, this weekly show featured five, one-hour, daily countdowns... most stations broadcast the show Monday-Friday at lunchtime - and then as a five-hour block on the weekend.

Solid Gold Saturday Night (1982-1988)
The first live, nationwide, request oldies show... syndicated by the RKO Radio Network on RKO 1 & RKO 2... picked up by the United Stations Radio Network (USRN) when it purchased RKO in 1985.

Saturday Night Oldies (1980-1982)
Launched at WFYR (103.5 FM) in Chicago... went from worst to first in the ARB ratings in less than six months... picked up by RKO Radio Network in 1982 for satellite distribution.
